Physics is a special pleasure to teach because it is intriguing, sometimes surprising, and often applicable to everyday experience.

Many students have trouble grasping physics concepts and the methods of physics problem-solving. My help usually turns things around in a short time.

Physics students need solid grounding.

Success in physics requires thorough grounding in concepts. For example, Newton’s laws of motion can be stated simply, as can the definitions of position and velocity and acceleration, but all are hard to thoroughly comprehend. Students repeatedly lose their way, and have trouble solving problems, until they gain solid conceptual orientation. It is a pleasure to help students understand physics deeply and become skilled problem-solvers.
