Online Tutoring

I offer both in-person and online tutoring. In case you are unfamiliar with online tutoring, here are answers to questions you might have.

Online tutoring works well.

My interactive tutoring platform makes sessions easy, productive, and enjoyable. We can write on the whiteboard, add files and images, and share screens. The student doesn’t need to sign in or download anything. I send a link, the student clicks on it, and we are instantly in our session!

Online tutoring is frequently more effective than in-person tutoring.

This surprised me at first. But it turns out that students of all ages, including those with learning differences such as ADHD, often focus better when we are physically apart but working on an interactive whiteboard.

Students effortlessly share work material.

Students share material in various ways: links, PDFs, photos, screenshots, and screen sharing. All methods work well.

My platform lets me swiftly and seamlessly provide helpful resources.

The student needs help understanding function transformations? I add elucidating images to the whiteboard. Is confused about atomic trends on the periodic table? I show an explanatory graphic. Forgot Newton’s laws of motion? Here they are!

I own the textbooks used in Marin County and San Francisco schools.

For remote sessions, my having a copy of the student’s textbook lets us look at the same material.

Online sessions are easier to schedule.

Remote tutoring permits greater flexibility in scheduling. Students often need to reschedule sessions or book extra sessions. Students occasionally have math, chemistry, or physics emergencies. With online tutoring I can more readily accommodate students’ needs.

Payment is simple.

You can use PayPal, Venmo, or Zelle. Sending money with PayPal, Venmo, and Zelle is easy and secure.
